For manual touch probe/probe head applications, there are several solutions available. Static, adjustable and index able manual probe heads are available.
Most DCC/CNC Probe Head applications require a Motorized Probe Head. Renishaw has four currently available, the PH10T, PH10M, PHS1 motorized probe head and the new REVO scanning head. These motorized probe heads can support all of the current Renishaw Probing and Sensor Technologies.

*(To take delivery of upgrade offer a PH9 or PH9A probe, PHC9 controller and a TP2 or TP6 probe must be returned with order.) Upgrade your old TP2 or TP6 to the TP20 stylus changing probe What does a TP20 upgrade involve? Your old TP2 or TP6 probe is removed from the probe head, typically by unscrewing the M8 thread. The TP20 is screwed in place. Qualify the probe and you are ready to measure!

How about the latest MCR20 changing rack and the MCR200 changing rack? Renishaw has a range of Touch Probes available for different measuring applications, complete with stylus changing capabilities. Omni-Tech can integrate Touch Probe Styli changing into your current CMM system. The MCR20 and MCR200 module changing racks provide rapid automatic changing of probe modules without the need to requalify.

Unlike conventional scanning methods, which rely on speeding up the motion of the CMM’s three axis in order to scan quickly, 5 axis scanning uses synchronized motion of machine and head axis to minimize the dynamic errors of coordinate measuring machine motion at ultra-high scanning speeds.
